The Translocal Institute for Contemporary Art is a transnational research centre based in Budapest that is focused on East European art and ecology and operates across the fields of art history, contemporary art and ecological thought. It was founded by Drs. Maja and Reuben Fowkes in 2013, growing out of a long-standing curatorial and research collaboration as translocal.org.
